ZipCanada has been a dream project for the founders Martin Horneman and Joe Pilon. Over 7 years ago, the idea behind this website was simple: build an easy to use free online service for Canadians to find a quality business to hire. Originally this website was created solely to list only contractors and tradesmen, however it was soon determined that expanding our technology to include not one genre, but many others including retail, automative, and medical would be a strategic move in making ZipCanada a much more valuable tool for Canadian consumers.

Since its conception (under previous domain names such as catrades.com and crdb.ca), Internet techology for the software behind running massive websites has changed considerably. In an ever changing world, the software that runs ZipCanada has been optimized, re-optimized, and expanded in order to meet with today's Internet demands and support for hundreds of thousands of listings. Utilizing the latest tools such as Ajax, PHP, Javascripting, PERL, and mySQL ZipCanada was transformed from a small slow running site to a highly optimized search engine. Our developers are constantly doing research to ensure this website meets both present and future demands of our users.

While we would be more interested in forming partnerships to make ZipCanada more of a success, we could discuss the idea of selling this website and our technology running it provided several of our terms in the interest of our users and businesses listed would be honored.
